Tywon Lawson

Tywon Lawson (born November 3, 1987 in Clinton, Maryland), is an American basketball player who began playing for the North Carolina Tar Heels in the 2006-07 season. Lawson, 5'11" and 193 lbs, is a point guard.

Through 23 games, he led the Tar Heels with 5.1 assists per game and was fourth with 10.3 points per game. Lawson attended Bishop McNamara High School in Forestville, Maryland from 2003-04. He would transfer and graduate from Oak Hill Academy in Virginia and was a first team USA Today All American. He participated in the McDonald's All-American Game, Jordan Brand Classic and Nike Hoop Summit. Lawson also played soccer at Oak Hill.

Ty announced during the UNC Men's Basketball Banquet on April 10 that he would return for his sophomore season.
