Central Basket Ball League
From Hoopedia
The Central Basket Ball League operated for six seasons, 1906-12 with teams in western Pennsylvania and eastern Ohio. Joe Leithead served as league president for four years. The news of the league's dissolution, which for some time was expected by the public, was announced in the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette on November 22, 1912. The paper said that the venture "had but small chances of success from the start."
