Dean Smith Center is a basketball arena located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and is the home of the North Carolina Tar Heels Men's team. It is named after former Tar Heels coach Dean Smith. It replaced Carmichael Auditorium in 1986. In 2008-09 it will host the Lady Tar Heels games until the remodeling of the Auditorium is finished.
