Derrick Dial

Derrick Jonathon Dial (born December 20, 1975 in Detroit, Michigan) is a professional basketball player formerly in the NBA. Derrick attended Cass Technical High School and played for Eastern Michigan University in college. He plays the shooting guard position.
NBA
Dial was selected in the second round (52nd overall) by the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Draft 1998. But he did not play in the NBA until 1999. He played for the Spurs until 2001. The next season, he played for the New Jersey Nets. With the Nets, he played in 25 games and scored 73 points. He was soon sent to the Toronto Raptors. He only played with the Raptors for 7 games. He did not play for the 2002-2003 season. For the 2003-04 season, he played with the Orlando Magic. With the Magic, he scored 26 points in 9 games. Also with the Magic, his jersey number was number 13. In the NBA, he played a total of 82 games and scored 253 points and played 687 minutes.
