Eddie Burke
From Hoopedia
Eddie Burke played in the Metropolitan League and then with the Original Celtics, 1922-25. He was neither a starter nor a star for the Celtics, however, one author observes that "his Irish good looks and native New York City roots could not have hurt the Celtics' appeal to the Irish community." (Murry Nelson in Sporting Nationalism, p.77) Perhaps this explains why a marginal player such as Burke was featured on a 1933 trading card set along side three future basketball Hall of Famers.
