Eric Bledsoe (born December 9, 1989, in Birmingham, Alabama, USA) is an American professional basketball player who is currently playing for the NBA's Los Angeles Clippers.
High School
Bledsoe averaged 20.3 points, 9.4 rebounds and 11.5 assists per game his senior season . He helped lead Parker High School to a 5A state championship runner-up finish in 2009. He participated in the 2009 Wazoo Sports Derby Festival Basketball Classic presented by Papajohns.com. Bledsoe was named No. 1 Super Senior by Birmingham News and was ranked the third-best point guard in the country and 23rd overall by Rivals.com.
College
Bledsoe played one season at the University of Kentucky, where he averaged 11.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists for the Kentucky Wildcats. He tallied 15.3 points on .588 shooting from the field and .474 from three in the NCAA Tournament. Coach John Calipari said, "Eric is one the fastest players I've ever coached. His length (78" wingspan) and outstanding leaping ability (40" vertical) allow him to play bigger than listed. He's a true competitor and I expect him to contribute right away as a freshman."
NBA
Bledsoe was selected in the first round (18th pick overall) of the 2010 NBA Draft by the Oklahoma City Thunder. He was then traded to the Los Angeles Clippers.
