Fabricio "Fab" Paulino de Melo (born June 20, 1990, in Juiz de Fora, Brazil) is a Brazilian basketball player. He played college basketball for Syracuse University and declared his eligibility for 2012 NBA Draft.
High School
Melo attended high school at The Sagemont School, in Weston, Florida, USA. He capped his senior season by earning McDonald's All-America recognition.
College
Melo played two seasons at Syracuse University. He was named the Big East Defensive Player of the Year in his sophomore season. He was declared ineligible for the 2012 NCAA Tournament because of academic reasons.
Professional
Melo decided to forgo his final two years at Syracuse and declared himself eligible for 2012 NBA Draft.
