George W. Singleton, Jr. (born July 9, 1961, in Krenshaw, South Carolina, USA) is a former American professional basketball player. He attended high school at Andrew Jackson High School, in Krenshaw, South Carolina, which he graduated from in 1980. Singleton, a 6'8" power forward, attended college at Furman University, where he played four seasons for the Furman Paladins. He averaged 15.9 points per game in his college career. Singleton was selected in the third round (69th pick overall) of the 1984 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lakers.
