Hamed E. Haddadi (Persian: حامد حدادی) (born May 19, 1985 in Ahvas, Iran) is an Iranian professional basketball player in the NBA at Center for the Memphis Grizzlies. Haddadi is 7' 2" and plays the center position. He was the best Iran Senior National Men's Team player at the 2007 FIBA Asia Championship for Men in Japan. He was the key element in Iran's championship.
Haddadi has had numerous offers from National Basketball Association clubs. He has stated he will sign for a club after he competes for Iran at the 2008 Olympics. Most recently he played for Saba Battery BC in the Iranian Super League.
On Thursday, August 28, 2008 Haddadi signed a contract with the NBA's Memphis Grizzlies.
