Jamison Rudy Van Brewer (born November 19, 1980, in East Point, Georgia) is an American professional basketball player who plays at Point guard in the Germany for Eisbären Bremerhaven. He attended high school at Newport High School, in Silver Spring, Maryland. He attended college at Auburn University. Brewer only palyed two seasons at Auburn and only averaged 5,7 points and 4.1 assists per game while he was there. He left college as an underclassman.
Jamison was selected by the Indiana Pacers in the 2nd round (41st overall) in the 2001 NBA Draft. He played 36 games with the Pacers and scored 58 points total for all three years. He was signed as a restricted free agent by the New York Knicks on August 27, 2004. He played 18 games with New York until he was traded to the San Antonio Spurs in 2005. But he did not play with the Spurs. He was signed and subsequently waived by the Knicks prior to the start of the 2005-06 season. In February of 2006, he signed with Cibona Zagreb in Croatia. In 2006-2007, Brewer started off in Belgium playing for Dexia Mons-Hainaut, but then played with the Hollywood Fame of the American Basketball Association.
When the team ran into financial troubles at the end of 2007, Brewer decided to sign with the Bakersfield Jam of the NBA Development League. He only managed to play in 4 games where he averaged 3.3 points and 4.5 assists per game.
