Kim Perrot Leadership Award

Established to honor the memory of the late Houston Comets point guard, the Kim Perrot Leadership Award recognizes a woman in sports who displays those characteristics embodied in Kim’s life and career: determination, ambition, tenacity and sportsmanship.

Celebrating its inaugural year, the Kim Perrot Leadership Award Dinner benefited Houston Can! Academy, a non-profit, public state charter school whose mission is to empower young, disadvantaged Houstonians and their families to break the cycle of failure, poverty, hopelessness and economic dependency through education and training. Sports reporter Hannah Storm was the first recipient of the award, in 2002.
