LaQuanda Barksdale

LaQuanda Barksdale (born October 3, 1979, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA) is an American professional basketball player. She attended high school at West Forsyth High. At 5'11", she plays the forward position. In college, she played for the North Carolina Tar Heels. She was a member of silver medal-winning USA Team at the 1998 World University Games in Spain.
In the 2000-01 season, Barksdale was named first-team All-America by Women's Basketball News Service and third-team All-America by Women's Basketball Journal and was a finalist for Kodak All-America honors. She was selected in the first round (12th pick overall) by the Portland Fire in the 2001 WNBA Draft.
