Larry Spriggs

Larry Michael Spriggs (born September 8, 1959, in Cheverly, Maryland, USA) is a former American professional basketball player. He attended high school at Northwestern High School, in North Brentwood, Maryland. A 6'7" forward, Spriggs originally attended college at San Jacinto Junior College before transferring to after one year Howard University. He was selected in the fourth round (81st pick overall) of the 1981 NBA Draft by the Houston Rockets. Spriggs began his professional career in the minor-league Continental Basketball Association, where he earned 1982 Rookie of the Year Honors with the Rochester Zeniths. Spriggs later played in the National Basketball Association with the Rockets, Chicago Bulls, and most notably with the Los Angeles Lakers, with whom he won an NBA Championship in 1985. Then he played with Real Madrid in Spain.
