1961 - Utah scores 120 points in the NCAA Division I Men's Tournament National Third Place game, but loses to St. Joseph's (PA), who score 127 in the quadruple-overtime game. Utah holds the tournament record for points scored in a losing effort. The two teams share the record for total field goals attempted in a game (204).
1993 - Reggie Lewis of the Boston Celtics "blacks out" briefly before going to the bench. After a few minutes rest, Lewis returned to the game. Later in the season he would collapse during a practice and subsequently die from cardiac arrest.
