Rudolph "Rudy" Anton LaRusso (November 11, 1937 - July 10, 2004), an American basketball player. LaRusso was five-time National Basketball Association All-Star.
He attended James Madison High School in Brooklyn. As a senior LaRusso won All-City honors when he and guard Alan Seiden led Madison to the the Public Schools Athletic League) finals, where they succumbed to Jamaica High School, 64-59.
He led the Dartmouth Big Green to the Ivy League championship in 1958 and 1959. LaRusso still holds Dartmouth school records for rebounds in a single-game (32), single-season (503), and career (1,239). He is also second in the Ivy League in career rebounds and third all-time in single-season rebounds.
He was taken by the Minneapolis Lakers (now the Los Angeles Lakers) in the 2nd round of the 1959 NBA Draft and played ten years with the Lakers and the San Francisco Warriors.
In 1967-68 he was seventh in the league with a career-best scoring average of 21.8 ppg.
LaRusso is a member of the New York City Basketball Hall of Fame.
He died of Parkinson's disease.
