Wheeling Central Catholic High School (WV)

Wheeling Central Catholic High School is a parochial, Roman Catholic high school in Wheeling, West Virginia. It is part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Wheeling-Charleston.

The mascot for Wheeling Central is a Maroon Knight. The school competes using the colors maroon and white. The school competes as a Class A entity in the West Virginia Secondary Schools Activities Commission. They are members of the Ohio Valley Athletic Conference.

As of late, the football program has excelled by winning the West Virginia championships in 2000, 2002, 2004, 2005, and 2006 and the boy's basketball team won the championship in the years 2002-2005. The girl's softball team has likewise succeeded by winning its respective championship from 1995 to 2001, 2006 and in 2007.

Former Wake Forest head men's basketball coach Skip Prosser was head coach of the Maroon Knights from 1979 to 1985.
